These environments were on a large scale reaching deep into the shot. I modelled and textured a variety of modular elements to add detail to the initial layout, which consisted of mostly flat surfaces. I worked on the area known in the film as "the Colony".
The Colony was based on concept art and photography depicting a city shrouded in constant rain, covered with haphazard technology and glittering with neon lights. There was a particular lean towards Asia architecture, which helped in breaking up the concrete skyline. Due to the shear number of elements needed to flesh out this environment I was given a degree of freedom to create assets which I felt suited the style.
